Maurice "Glenn" Young, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018.

Glenn was born on May 5, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Ralph and Mabel Young. He graduated from DeSales High School in 1970. On April 28, 1973 he married the love of his life, Jan Young (Tamplin) and together they raised three children.

Glenn was beloved by all who knew him. He lived a full life deeply devoted to his family and friends and had a great affection for his work family. He had a great love of all things outdoor and was a life-long fan of the Louisville Cardinals. When he wasn't working, you could usually find him out antiquing with his wife or playing with one of his many dogs, whom he loved like children. Glenn was devoted to his church and his work with the Knights of Columbus where he served in multiple leadership roles over the years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Young (Tamplin); three children, Andrew Young (Sara Beth), Molly Young and Matthew Young; grandchildren, Emma Young and Isabel Brown; siblings, Doug Young (Marie), Kenny Young (Katie) and Wayne Young (Cindy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). His Funeral Mass will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church. A reception will follow after mass at O'Brien Hall at church.
