Jewell Dean Evans, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Norton Audubon Hospital. She was born in Berea, Kentucky on November 2, 1937 to the late Steve and Mary Crane. She was psycho crazy over the University of Louisville Cardinals! She was a member of Cove Baptist Church in Fairdale and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Dallas Evans; a son, Randy Dallas Evans; a son-in-law, Chris Kennedy; two brothers, Albert Crane and Speedy Crane; two sisters, Azalee Whittamore and Bessie Whittamore; and a grandson, Nicholas Kennedy; brother-in-law, Bobby Combs; sisters-in-law, Edna Whittamore and Wilma Crane.

Jewell is survived by her beloved children, Marsha (Calvin) Evans-Votaw, Greg (Nancy Aubrey) Evans, Tammy (Jim) Haines, Gail Kennedy, Sandy (Kevin) Hornback, Steve (Gaye) Evans and Chris (Olivia) Evans; two brothers, Charles Whittamore and J.B. (Jean) Crane; two sisters, Beulah (William) Willis and Eula Combs; a sister-in-law, Ethel Crane; 19 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and still growing; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272 with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-7 on Sunday at the funeral home.
