Mrs. Marcella Shuler Griffiths, age 70, of Scottsburg, Indiana, entered this life in Powell County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Roy & Clay Tipton Shuler. She was raised in Powell County. She married William J. Griffiths in Scottsburg, Indiana. He survives. She had a career at Freudenburg NOK in Scottsburg, until the facility closed. Most recently, Marcella had gone back to work at McDonalds. She enjoyed gardening and gospel music. Her greatest treasure in life was her grandkids. Marcella had a gift for helping others and was always the first to offer a hand. She was a faithful member of the Solid Rock Community Church. Marcella died Tuesday, November 7th at 8:57 p.m. at Hampton Oaks Health Center in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Marcella will be missed by her loving husband of nearly 34 years: Bill Griffiths of Scottsburg, Indiana. In addition, she was blessed with two children from a previous marriage to John Pearson Sr. of North Vernon, Indiana; her daughter: Pam (Ron) Gholson North Vernon, Indiana; her son John (Georgine) Pearson of Lexington, Indiana: her grandkids Ashley and Devin Gholson; Hannah, Kenley, and Blaze Pearson; two step daughters, Liz and Jen and several step grandchildren and step great grand children; her loving brothers: Pastor Mike(Angie) Shuler of Deputy, Indiana; Roger (Thelma Jane) Shuler of Scottsburg, Indiana, Bill (Marsha) Shuler of Hartsville, Tennessee; Eugene Shuler of Seymour, Indiana; David Shuler of Clay City, Indiana; her loving sisters: Dorothy Davidson of Deputy, Indiana; Joyce Lamb of Deputy, Indiana; Ada Malcomb of Deputy, Indiana; Donna (Phil) Shockley of Los Lunas, New Mexico; Kathleen Boling of Seymour, Indiana; Brenda Schmalz of Watseka, Illinois; Carolyn Malloux of Fowler, Indiana; Lois Bailey of Winchester, Kentucky; Geraldine Dillard of Austin, Indiana, Marilyn Burns of Winchester, Kentucky; Bernice Hogan of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; sister-in-law Minnie Shuler of North Vernon, Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Clay Tipton Shuler; her brothers, Jesse, Bobby, Oscar and Delbert Shuler and her sister, Sharon Shuler.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 11, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Solid Rock Community Church, 3203 N. Blanton Rd, Scottsburg, IN 47170. Private family inurment will take place at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN at a later date.
