Doris was born on November 6, 1925, Louisville, Kentucky to the late Frank and Julia Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Francis Gahafer; and her seven siblings.
Doris is survived by her three daughters, Dorothy Gahafer, Diane Moody (Jerry), Donna Conlon (Larry); grandchildren, Shannon Conlon (Mark Bauman), Lee Nelson (Mark), Larry Conlon Jr. (Amanda), Dana Moody; great-grandchildren, Grant, Shelby, Taylor, Cole and many loving nieces and nephews.
Doris was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed time with her family, baking, quilting, sewing and gardening. She also loved to travel and going to flea markets. Doris will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). Her funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
