VERA PASSARETTI BECHARD, 97, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully after a very short illness Saturday, September 23, 2017
She was born May 27, 1920 to the late Annibale and Domenica (DeChristopher) Passaretti in Troy, NY. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist church. She loved Scrabble, playing cards, bowling, and keeping in touch with Facebook friends!
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Leandre “Link” Bechard and two grandsons Chad Wilson and Jeromy Bechard.
Vera will be missed by her two children Douglas Bechard MD (Tresa) and Linda (Bechard) Wilson (Richard); three grandchildren Aaron (Carla) Wilson, Nicole (Jason) Newmyer, & Aimee (Tim) Strubell; five great grandchildren, Tristan & Ellie Wilson, Madalyn & Parker Newmyer, & Aubrey Strubell.
A celebration of Vera’s life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 4:00 pm at the Middletown Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 125 Watterson Trail, Louisville, KY. She will be buried alongside her husband at New Albany National Cemetery, New Albany, IN in a private ceremony.
