Kathie (Ramsey) Fanning, 63, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. She will always be remembered for her love of camping, being outdoors, listening to music, and watching classic movies.

She was born on April 16, 1954 in Stearns, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Tiney (Slaven) Ramsey. Along with her parents, Kathie was preceded in death by her siblings, Burse Slaven and Clyde Ramsey.

Kathie is survived by her children, Karen Waldron (Pete Herall) and Mark Fanning, Jr. (Dana); grandchildren, Ashley Waldron-Mouser (Quinton) and Mariah Waldron; great-grandchild, Ray Douglas Wayne Mouser; sister, Janice Moore (Curtis); and former husband, Mark Fanning, Sr..

Cremation was chosen following Kathie’s wishes. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 3-6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln. New Albany, IN 47150).
