1962 - 2017

Jerry Wayne Graves, age 54, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was a devoted and loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and caretaker to his Mom and Brother. He was an avid UofL fan, loved horse races and rock & roll music, especially “the Rolling Stones”. Jerry was a truly loving, kind and gentle spirit who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Graves; brother, David “Davo” Graves; and his grandparents, Gene Harp and Lawrence and Eleanor Graves.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Carole Clites; brother, Chuck Graves; grandmother, Alma Harp; aunt, Brenda Bowman; step-daughter, Marah; nephews, Jason Graves (Jackie Hawkins-Graves); Jason Goodlow (Machel); niece, Jillian Graves; cousin, Missy Byrd; great nieces and nephews, Joon Spiro, Jayceline and Joshua Hawkins-Graves, Xander and Aiden Goodlow; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be for Jerry and his brother “Davo” from 2-6pm on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, with a celebration of both their lives at 6pm. Burial will be at a later date at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.

Memorials may be made to the family.
