Campbell, Gene Bedell, 92, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on March 17, 2017.

He served as a Master Sergeant in the US Army during WWII and retired from RCA Service Company.

Gene was born on June 24, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Joe and Martha Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Campbell; siblings, Ralph Campbell, Mary Fleetwood and Velma Campbell.

He is survived by his daughter, Christy Krages (John Quay); son, Kevin Campbell (Susie); grandchildren, Joshua Krages (Michelle); and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243.) A funeral ceremony will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Wounded Warriors Project or Hosparus of Louisville.
