Laszlo “Larry” Sziklay, 67, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2017 in New Albany, Indiana, after declining health over the past several years. He was born on July 26, 1949 in Brixen im Thale, Austria but always remained very proud of his Hungarian heritage. Larry was a member at Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany, Indiana and retired from E I DuPont in Louisville, Kentucky after many years of service. He enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing games on the computer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laszlo & Magdalena (Zsadon) Sziklay, and grandparents Louis and Sophie Zsadon. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Barbara (Cottrell) Sziklay. He had a special relationship with his niece Sarah Cottrell-Cumber and nephew Matthew Cottrell-Cumber and host sons, Dag Tvedt of Nesoddtangen, Norway and Christopher Bunzel of Gladbach, Germany.

Cremation was chosen and entrusted with Newcomer Funeral Home. Larry's Memorial Service will be at 11 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church (1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, IN 47150)..

Memorial donations can be made to Grace Lutheran Church or American Diabetes Association (161 St. Matthews, Avenue Suite 3, Louisville, KY 40207) or National Parkinson Foundation (1501 Northwest Ninth Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136).
