Victor Jerome Gazall
1960 - 2017

Victor Jerome Gazall, 57, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, formerly of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. He enjoyed many things, which included traveling, going for walks, and animals, particularly cats. Victor wore many hats over the course of his life, serving in the roles of monk, hospital administrator, and counselor. He was deeply religious and could be called a friend by many.

He was born on January 6, 1960, in Beirut, Lebanon. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Gloria (Meadows) Gazall. He is survived by his sister, Suzanne Beck (Mark); nieces and nephews, Joshua Beck, Jessica Dake (Robert), and Ryan Beck; great-nieces, Abigail and Olivia; close friends, Larry Motsinger and Deana Moore; along with many other good friends.

Cremation was chosen following Victor’s wishes. A reception of family and friends will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a Memorial Service being held at 3:00 p.m.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Raymond Maronite Cathedral in St. Louis, Missouri.

Victor helped counsel many through their substance abuse addiction. The family is requesting that contributions in his memory be made to any charity or organization that helps with this cause.
