George H. Lawson, Jr., age 84, of Louisville, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, and was retired from Accutech as a warehouse supervisor. He loved fishing, woodworking, gardening and was devoted to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, George H. Lawson, Sr. and Annie Mae Harvey Lawson; and several siblings.

George is survived by his loving wife of 50 plus years, Linda C. Lawson; children, Michael D. Lawson (Shari), Lisa M. Childress and Kevin W. Lawson; grandchildren, Janae Jones (Richard), Nicole Lawson, Alan J. Lawson and Joel Lawson; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jade and Ethan Jones; sister-in-law, Gladys Lawson; brother-in-law, J. Michael Brown (Joan); and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 10am -11am, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 with funeral ceremony at 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. Burial ceremony will be at 2pm at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky, with military honors.
