Donna Michellé Swartz, 53, passed away on July 22, 2016. Donna was known for being selflessly compassionate, charitable and always ready to uplift, encourage and share her motto, "I Hope You Dance". She was forgiving and treated everyone with respect and without judgment. Donna strongly believed in animal rights and had a special love for cats.

Donna is lovingly survived by her children, Monica (Javier) Gonzalez and Justin Long; mother, Juanita Smith; father, Donald Swartz; brother, William (Angela) Swartz; extended family and beloved friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016, from 2pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Donna's life will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, beginning at 11am at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Amputee Coalition of America, American Diabetes Association or No Kill Louisville (Animal Shelter).
