Charles Dale Bosstick, 91, formerly of Louisville, KY and Fort Myers, FL, passed away on July 21, 2016 in Bowling Green, KY. Charles was born in Rosedale, IN on March 25, 1925 and raised in Clinton, IN by his beloved grandmother, Maude Lambert Boatman. He proudly served as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps during World War II and First Lieutenant in the Air Force during the Korean War. He also served as an intelligence officer in the Air Force during the early stages of the Cold War. Following his service to his country, Charles worked for Anaconda Aluminum and LG&E until his retirement. He spent much of his retirement in Fort Myers, where he was president of the local VFW.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Bosstick. Survivors include two children, Blythe Hockensmith (Bill) of Bowling Green, KY and Dick Bosstick (Suzanne) of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Mary Bett Bratcher, Christopher Bosstick and Joshua Bosstick; and one great-granddaughter, Kamdyn Bratcher.
Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, July 29, 2016 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central in Radcliff, KY. Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
