Neil Goodwin Roberts, 86, of Louisville passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016.
He was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand on May 16, 1930, the son of the late Arthur and Ann Dodd Roberts. He was an Army Veteran and was a former owner of his own automotive repair business. He served his apprenticeship in New Zealand to become an automotive engineer. His passion was his love for his family, golf and tennis.
The youngest of six children, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Roy, Guy, Harry, Pearl and Gladys.
Neil is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marie Lewis Roberts; sons, John Roberts (Tammy) and James Roberts (Tina Bennett); grandchildren, William, Kara Marie, Matthew, Sean and Frank; great-grandson, James Roberts; nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12/Noon on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243.
