1936 - 2016

Reinhold G. “Ray” Bernhagen, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on May 22, 2016. He was a retired Army, Vietnam Veteran, and a Past Post Commander of VFW 1181.

Ray was born on June 21, 1936, Kulm, North Dakota to the late Paul and Bertha (Gall) Bernhagen.

Ray is survived by his wife of 58 years, Angie (Turco) Bernhagen; son, Raymond (Tracy) Bernhagen, daughter, Denise (Rocky) Pocock, four grandchildren, Tarren, Sheree, Brittany, Kyle and brother, August “Bernie” (Mary) Bernhagen.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway Louisville, KY 40272).

His graveside services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
