In Memory Of
Mary Ogle
1926 - 2016

Mary Francis Ogle, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on May 2, 2016. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she often said that her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were Gods greatest gifts to her. They were always first in her thoughts and prayers. Words cannot express how much they will miss her and treasure wonderful memories of “Mom and Memaw”.

Mary was born on October 2, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clyde and Hattie (Goodlett) Moore. She was the eighth of their twelve children; some of her fondest memories were growing up in the Portland community with her brothers and sisters.

Friends and extended family members were also important to her. She was a great cook and loved to prepare delicious meals, her door was always open to eat or just sit and talk.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna (Norman) Vernon, sister, Helen (Raphael) Burns, grandchildren, Jeffrey Vernon, Angela (John) Clark, great-grandchildren, Jack and Leah Clark, dear friend Joanne Hammond, many nieces and nephews, and her family at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243).

Her funeral ceremony will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kosiar Children’s Hospital or Masonic Homes of Shelbyville.
