Laura “Peggy” Jean Moats, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on April 29, 2016. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church and was an avid sewer and beader.

Peggy was born on November 2, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert Crane and Sarah (Chesser) Mitchell.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronald Moats, son, Terry Moats and daughter, Suzann Leininger. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Lou Finley of Louisville and Celest Williams of San Antonio.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 10:00am unitl 6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive Louisville, Kentucky 40243.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Shamrock Society of Louisville.
